You can be a mommy blogger all you want. Might as well face it. Abraham is adorable, and there's nothing you can do about it.

You do look cute! I can help show you how to use the wrap if you want. I LOVED it when Jonas was a newborn. You wrap it all on yourself first then put the baby in after. Then I put it away for a while because using the sling works great for babies. Then when they are toddlers I like the wrap again for back "carries".

yeah, formula probably wasn't necessary, but either way he had to use a bottle (because he was so tired and dehydrated) which is what made things difficult later. and at least now i have a large freezer stash of breastmilk, should Abraham need it.

if anything, the formula made me more enthusiastic about breastfeeding, and it was even the super convenient pre-mixed kind, handed to me already in a bottle ready to eat! it just stank so bad, and made him burp and spit up more, and i didn't feel as connected to him, so yeah, i didn't like it! it was yucky!

I'm glad Abraham is home again. I am surprised the hospital didn't even let you feed Abraham the pumped milk. But I know that hospitals have lots of rules, and unlike in childbirth, I don't know very much about most medical things, so it's hard to know what to say to them. I like that he recognized your voice - he knows his mommy! Elisheva also peeled all over (although Lydia didn't).

I'm also glad that Abraham has been nursing for you since he's been home. I had a dream a couple nights ago that we got to come and visit you and Samuel and Abraham - I only wish it could come true! We'll see you at Christmas, though.

A lurker popping out to post: I'm sorry to hear you were told to interrupt breastfeeding! My understanding is that this is not necessary, although your post has encouraged me to do some more research on it. If you are curious, I am starting my research here: http://www.kellymom.com/babyconcerns/bfhelp-jaundice.html
It sounds like you are back on track though! You are so right that they get used to the bottle flow and get sleepy without it, great that you are persistent and teaching him how to go back to breast :-)

Congrats! I'm glad you shared this. It helped dispell some of my fears of having a drug-free labor. Glad everything turned out well.
